In the past 15 years our team experienced and witnessed how the pace of destruction increased in the peninsula. This is caused by urban sprawl, mega projects, or treasure hunters. As part of our methodology we have been making re-visits to the sites that we have previously  recorded, and most of the time found out that the sites that have been defined only by surface material were covered with buildings. In the recent years, even the sites that are relatively located at inaccessible, secluded parts of the peninsula are being destructed by wind turbines, villas or motorways. For this reason, we decided to keep a record of the loss and destruction to promote and raise awareness about the local heritage.
